Our goal is to make and distribute quality films, with top quality acting and unique, interesting

and socially significant storylines.

Talbot has been a member in good standing of both the now merged Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television Artists, since 1975.

He has been writing, and directing theatrical plays, writing screenplays, performing on stage, TV, and in films for over forty years.

"Still the Drums" represents the first written work of Talbot's ever produced as a full length feature film, marking Talbot's writer, producer, director and singing debut as a filmmaker, while he simultaneously

played the lead role.

Talbot has also performed as a stand-up comedian at many of the major clubs in Hollywood, on the Sunset Strip, like the "Laugh Factory", "Carlos and Charlie's". Talbot was the regular MC for Skippy Lowe's "Belly Room" at the world famous Hollywood "Comedy Store".

Over the years Talbot has consistently received rave reviews and has now been awarded for his acting work for both comedy and drama a total of seven separate times. In all, he has a total of 14 awards for his acting, directing, writing, composing and producing.

Using his scholarship he went on to study at the Lee Strasberg Institute in Hollywood, Ca. At the “Institute”, he studied with Pat Randall (who was Lee Strasberg’s favorite instructor). Pat Randall is a member of the Zone Partners, Limited Partnership, Advisory Board.

After studying at the Lee Strasberg Institute, Talbot studied with Vera Vlasova, from the original “Moscow Art Theatre“. Vera was a member of Stanaslavski’s original Prague Touring Group. As if sent by the Gods, when in her late 80's Vera moved into the apartment next door to Talbot in Hollywood. Until her passing they were close friends. He became her assistant in class and one of her top students.

The first character in a Hollywood play that Talbot auditioned for was the character Pepper White, in a revival of the classic Broadway hit “Golden Boy”. After Talbot's audition, the director ran up on the stage, hugged Talbot and gave him the part right on the spot. Since then he’s done over 30 plays and a dozen or so films and TV shows in which he’s played everything from characters to leading roles.

Besides acting, writing, producing and directing Talbot has also worked in film finance with several successful Hollywood production companies, assisting them in raising capital to finance their films.

Using his acquired knowledge from his past employment Talbot was able to personally write up and create his first film partnership, Patriot Partners, Limited Partnership that was produced by his production company American Patriot Pictures, LLC. He personally raised all of the funds to finance his film "Still the Drums".

Talbot Perry Simons - Early Biography:

Talbot Perry Simons was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. He attended Monroe High School.

Talbot is a veteran. In 1965 at the age of seventeen he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he attended two class "A” schools and trained as a Communications Technician. Fortunately, even though he served during the Vietnam war, to his luck, Talbot never served in Vietnam and never saw any action.

After the service Talbot relocated to California where he first began to study acting at Orange Coast Jr., College in Costa Mesa, California (quite a difference from the Bronx). Talbot quickly took over the theater department and was the first student in school history to produce and direct a main stage show, which before then was only done by the instructors.

In 1975, his final year at college he was cast and played five characters in the play “Lenny” for which he was nominated for, and won the “Irene Ryan Award” for “Best Actor“ and awarded a scholarship. Using his scholarship he went on to study at the Lee Strasberg Institute in Hollywood, Ca. At the “Institute”, he studied with Pat Randall (who was Lee Strasberg’s favorite instructor).

My first feature film was the multiple award-winning feature “Still the Drums”. A touching and intense drama /mystery about a U.S. Marine who was M.I.A. in Viet-Nam and whose remains were found after thirty-nine years and posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor.

“Still the Drums” literally swept the 2010 New York International Independent Film and Video Festival winning the top five awards for Best Film, Best Directorial Debut, Best Actor, Best Screenplay, Best Song. It also received the Platinum Reel for standout filmmaking.

But, just imagine how proud I am to tell you that as the writer, producer, director, composer and leading actor in “Still the Drums”, I set a new Guinness World Record in filmmaking. I broke Sir Charles Chaplin’s (Charlie Chaplin) sixty yearlong world record and I currently hold the new world record, as the only filmmaker in all of filmmaking history to personally receive awards in five different filmmaking categories for one motion picture. Other famous filmmaker contenders with awards in four filmmaking categories are, Clint Eastwood, James Cameron, Warren Beatty, Woody Allen, Stanley Tucci. Chaplin also had awards in five different filmmaking categories, but it took him two film to accomplish that.

“THE GANGSTER ZONE” is a new title that I have given to my award-winning screenplay originally titled “PLANES” and I am very proud to say that I am not a one hit wonder! “PLANES” won the award for Feature Film Screenplay at the 2011 Los Angeles Screenplay Competition.

To avoid any copyright complications with Disney Studios who has the children’s animated movie franchise titled “PLANES”, I made the decision to change the title. For marketing purposes as a film, I feel that the title of “The Gangster Zone” is actually a much better title that has more audience appeal. It also says a little more about what the story and the type of film that it is. The original title had a double meaning for dimensional planes and airplanes but tells the audience nothing. it is a good adjustment for so many reasons, especially for marketing.
